Housing is a feature in Temtem. Tamers can buy a house in the neighborhoods of Atoll Row, located on the island of Omninesia, and can then decorate it freely; methods of customization include furniture, wallpaper and flooring. It is possible to visit other Tamer’s houses and invite other Tamers to the player Tamer’s house from Atoll Row.

A Luma is a Temtem with a unique and extremly rare variation in color.

On the left the regular version of Paharo. On the right its Luma counterpart.

Any Temtem in the wild has a 1/8000 chance to be a Luma which is signified by a star icon next to its name in the combat UI, a special sparkly animation when entering battle and a special trail when the Temtem is running around in the overworld.

On top of that every Luma found in the wild is guaranteed to have at least 3 SVs at maximum (50) making them more likely to be stronger in combat than regular Temtems of the same species (though not guaranteed).

TEMTEM HOW TO MAKE MONEY FAST (PANSUN)

We're taking a look at one of the best current money making options in Temtem! You can do your standard selling of items and battling trainers, but there's also another way to go that is a lot more effective. If you're looking to farm up cash for gear, cosmetics, or general items then you'll want to take advantage of this easy to do strategy.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN TEMTEM

So, what do you need to do to make some fat stacks of money? Well, you need to release the Temtem you catch. Yep, you read that correctly... releasing Temtem is a good way to earn some cash. However, you should only do this once you've reached the second island in the game! Releasing Temtem prior to reaching this specific area will yield you nothing. That area is the FreeTem! Organization building. It can be found on the island of Omninesia in The Canopath (Route 5).
The location of the FreeTem! Organization

Once you reach this building, you can go inside and talk to the person at the desk. This person will give you money for each Temtem you release rather than send to your computer, because the FreeTem! Organization believes all Temtem should be free. How the payout works is that you will be given more money for Temtem you release that are either higher level or harder to catch. So, you might want to wait until you get pretty far into the story before you start really grinding this out.

It appears there will be a weekly prize you can earn for releasing a certain amount of Temtem. Some of these prizes are DNA Strands, which can be used to ensure the Temtem you're breeding inherits a specific stats or traits. You can also earn a cosmetic, or you can earn Silicon Shards which you can sell for 299 Pansun each. Here's a look at some of the rewards that have been available:

Free 180 Temtem: Flat Top Hair Cosmetic
Free 200 Temtem: 5x Silcon Shards
Free 200 Temtem: Vigor DNA Strand - Ensures the egg inherits the parent's HP and STA.
Free 215 Temtem: Engineered DNA Strand - Ensures the egg inherits the parent's trait slot.
Free 250 Temtem: Mighty DNA Strand - Ensures the egg inherits the parent's ATK and SPATK.
Free 250 Temtem: Immunity DNA Strand - Ensures the egg inherits the parent's DEF and SPDEF.
Releasing 200+ Temtem in a week is quite a few, so it might be easier to just go catching lower level Temtem. This might also be a good time to try for a particular Luma Temtem! As far as we know, this is the best method to earning money in the game. We'll update this guide with additional methods as they are revealed.

The species of Temtem possess a characteristic called “Traits” which effect somehow their battle. Most Temtem can have one of two different Traits, while some only have one. These traits can only be positive or negative and usually they are selected randomly upon the birth of a Temtem. When evolving, many Temtem acquire a new set of Traits. The trait of the evolved Temtem will be the one placed in the same Tempedia's slot as the trait of the unevolved Temtem.

While normally selected by random when a Temtem is born via Breeding, certain gear items can force a parent to pass down its trait to an offspring.

HOW TO BREED A PERFECT TEMTEM (ALL 50 SV)

Temtem’s breeding system is surprisingly complex, with a range of factors determining the outcome of any pairing. Breeding gives you the ability to customize your new Temtem’s stats, and while difficult, it’s entirely possible to breed a Temtem with perfect stats! Here we’ll cover one way of hatching a Temtem with maximized SVs (Single Values), which will give it the best possible stats.

TEMTEM STATS AND SVS
As you might have noticed, Temtem have seven stats determining their battle capabilities: HP (Hit Points), ATK (Attack), SPATK (Special Attack), DEF (Defence), SPDEF (Special Defence), SPEED and STA (Stamina). These are determined by a corresponding SV for each stat, ranging from 1 to 50. Wild Temtem have randomly generated SVs, while hatched Temtem can inherit some of their SVs from their parents.

Additionally, Luma Temtem are guaranteed to have at least 3 perfect SVs when encountered in the wild. SVs usually can’t be changed without the use of extremely rare Telomere Hack items, but it’s currently unknown whether the boosts obtained from these items can be passed down through breeding.

INHERITING SVS AND TRAITS
Each newly hatched Temtem’s SVs has a 40% chance of matching the parent with a higher SV in that stat, a 40% chance of inheriting an average of both parents’ SVs for that stat, and a 20% chance of matching the parent with a lower SV. This means that your newly-hatched Temtem will be on average a little stronger than their parents, as you’ll notice from the breeding preview menu. But as each Temtem can only be bred a certain number of times (based on its Fertility score, which starts off low in Temtem with high SVs), you’ll need a more reliable way of passing down stats. This is where DNA Strands come in! These items are sold at the Breeding Center, and can be equipped to a parent Temtem to ensure it passes down a specific stat or pair of stats. Breeding two Temtem with equal values in the same stat is another way to make sure the baby will inherit that SV. Temtem can also inherit a specific Trait from one of their parents if it’s holding the Engineered DNA item!

HOW TO BREED PERFECT TEMTEM

To get all 7 perfect SVs on a single newly-hatched Temtem, you’ll need at least 7 Temtem with one perfect stat each (at least one SV equal to 50). Each of these should ideally have 7 fertility (the maximum possible value for a Temtem with a perfect SV), or you might not be able to complete the chain! Fertility decreases with each breeding attempt and continues to decrease with each generation of bred Temtem, so you’ll have to be careful about breeding the same Temtem multiple times (this is sometimes necessary if you want to reuse one Temtem throughout the family tree, or if the offspring didn’t have the gender you needed). Because of this, you’re best off starting with more than 7 Temtem in the first generation, and having some of them double up on SVs. To breed at all your Temtem will need to be of the same type, but it’ll also be much quicker if you use the same species, and you won’t be as restricted by which gender the offspring is.

Pass on stats by giving your Temtem the appropriate DNA Strand held item (see the list below) to pass on their perfect SV – this part can be expensive as well as time-consuming, since DNA Strands are used up after each breeding attempt and you’ll need to buy new ones from the Breeding Center. Start by pairing up your Temtem with one perfect SV each – the best starting pairings are ATK with SPATK, DEF with SPDEF, and HP with STA as these stat pairs can be passed down using a single item in the second tier. You’ll need 4 offspring from the first tier, so you’ll need to breed one of these pairs twice (or, to save fertility, breed 2 different pairs with the same SVs) to make sure all the SVs can be passed down in later generations.

The 4 offspring Temtem should have two perfect SVs each – one with ATK and SPATK, one with DEF and SPDEF, one with HP and STA, and a fourth with the same pair of stats as one of the previous four. Equip each of these Temtem with the DNA Strand item (Mighty DNA, Immunity DNA, and Vigor DNA) that lets them pass down their two SVs. You’ll then need to breed all 4 of these offspring Temtem with a Temtem that has a perfect SPEED stat – again, it’s best to use several different Temtem with perfect SPEED stats for this step so that their overall fertility doesn’t run down too much. The Temtem with a perfect SPEED SV should be holding a Lithe DNA Strand to pass on its SPEED stat – you’ll have to use several of these items as you’ll probably be breeding the SPEED Temtem quite a few times.

In Tier 3 you should have 4 Temtem with 3 perfect SVs each. All 4 should have a perfect SPEED SV (so that breeding any combination of the 4 should give you offspring with a perfect SPEED stat, even without a DNA Strand item). As two of your Tier 3 Temtem will have the same stats, make sure you pair up sets of these with different perfect SVs. Again, use Mighty DNA, Immunity DNA, and Vigor DNA to pass down the non-SPEED stats as SPEED will be passed down regardless.

You should now have 2 Temtem ready for Tier 4 – both of these will have 5 out of 7 perfect SVs, and each one will have 2 perfect SVs that the other doesn’t. Give each of these an item that lets it pass down whichever 2 SVs the other one lacks – this’ll pass down 4 perfect SVs, and the other 3 will be passed down naturally as they’re shared by both parents.

You may also want to pass down a specific Trait to your Temtem – this may take a few tries and some luck, or you could replace one of the above breeding steps with an Engineered DNA Strand item to guarantee a certain Trait is passed on.

If all’s gone according to plan, you should now have your perfect Temtem!

👉🏻
Compatibility

If two Temtem share a type, the pair is compatible for breeding. If they do not share a type, they cannot be bred.

For Temtem with two types, the other Temtem only needs one of their types to be compatible. For example, a Temtem that is both waterWater Type and electricElectric Type can breed with any Temtem that has either Water or Electric as at least one of its types.

Fertility
Temtem have a fertility value that lowers each time a new Egg is produced. This is so a Temtem can only breed a specific amount of times. It is currently maxed at 8 levels, but you can regain 1 fertility level per Fertility Essence.

While producing an offspring, both parents will lose one level of fertility. The resulting child will inherit the lower fertility value between the two parents after their egg is produced. For example, if one parent had 8 fertility and the other had 6, after producing an egg their fertility will lower to 7 and 5, respectively, and the child will be born with 5 fertility as well.

In the case of wild Temtem, their fertility is normally level 8, however this value is the default but is also lowered by having "good SV", meaning any SV value higher than 45. At one or two good stats the fertility drops to 7, three or four good stats lower it to 6, five or six good stats lower it to 5 and having all seven stats good lower it to a minimum of 4.

Acquiring Eggs
To breed a Temtem, the player must go to a and deposit their desired pair to begin the process. The Breeding Center can hold up to two different couples at the same time. It will usually take 10 minutes in real time for the pair to produce an egg, or 5 minutes if both parents are of the same evolutionary line. The egg will contain a Level 1 Temtem of the first form of the mother's evolutionary line. The Breeding Center can only store one egg per Temtem pair, so the player has to get the egg before the pair can start the breeding process again.

Hatching an egg requires 5-45 minutes to hatch, depending on the child Temtem's capture rate. Eggs deposited in the terminal do not have a timer, and therefore will not hatch until removed.

Inheritance
The offspring of breeding will inherit from its parents in multiple aspects:
Fertility - Children will inherit the lower value between the parents fertility counter after the egg is produced. For example, if the parents had 5 and 8 fertility, and produced an egg, their fertility is lowered to 4 and 7 respectively, so the child will inherit a fertility value of 4 as a result.
Techniques - Every Temtem species has a set of techniques it may learn from its parents the moment it hatches. This allows newborns to know moves they would not naturally learn while leveling up.
Single Values - Every one of the childs stats has a 40% chance being the higher SV value between the parents, 40% chance being the (ceiled) average of both parents SVs, and 20% chance being the lower of the two SVs
Traits - By default, traits are not inherited and instead will be selected randomly upon hatching, although like SVs, certain gear items can ensure inheriting traits from one of the parents.
Luma Temtem - Bred Temtem normally have the same chance being of Luma as Temtem in the wild do (1 in 6000). This chance increases by x10 if one of the parents is Luma and further increases by x100 if both parents are Luma. Luma temtem produced this way follow the same rules of inheritance for Single values as regular Temtem.
