Fade Glove Guide
Af CrystalChris
I see a lot of people being curious about how the pattern on fade gloves work and whether or not their pair is full fade. There are many misconceptions regarding this topic and I couldn't find any guides so I decided to create one. It's the first time I am making something like this so ANY feedback and input is highly appreciated.

1. How does the fade work?
The % on fade gloves doesn't work as it does with fade knives, where it goes from 80-100% for example. It's more unique, comparable to case hardened, where you have to estimate the amount of blue. To check the amount of fade on gloves, you have to look at how many grey spots the pattern contains. Blue, red and yellow are counted as fade.

That being said, you can only roughly classify the gloves in four different categories with pictures below:

Full Fade:
There are no grey spots on the pattern at all.

Easy case - No grey at all:
.

Debatable case - Yellow "fades" into grey towards the bottom part, still countable as full fade in my opinion:
.

BTA Fade:
Just a small amount of grey spots.

Example 1 - Only the wristband is grey, Very BTA Fade:
.

Example 2 - Fingers and bottom left part are grey, still statistically BTA Fade:

.

Average Fade:
Grey spots here and there, still a decent amount of fade though.

Example 1 - Grey on the fingers, both wristbands and especially the right tortue plate.
.

Example 2 - Grey on the fingers, right wristband and on the left tortue plate.
.

Bad Fade:
Distinction between average and bad fade is mainly opionion-based, but usually those with barely any fade on the right (most important) tortue plate should be avoided.

Example - Right tortue plate is mainly grey.
.

These categories are just made up but common in the trading scene amongst most skins, so I think it makes sense using them this way for fade gloves.
2. Fade Glove ≠ Fade Glove
If you are looking to pick up a pair of them, always consider how different one can look from the other.

Two examples:

.

When playing with a butterfly fade for example, this red and yellow pattern can look really good:
.

Blue and red might highlight a Karambit Fire & Ice really well, as someone shows here:

.

A blue knife like a sapphire or P4 can nicely be combined with a blue pattern, as demontrated in this screenshot:
3. Wristbands matter alot!
The left and right wristband are very important due to being visible ingame pretty much all the time.

The left one is visible when playing most guns like AWP and AK as you can see:
.

Obviously the front is shown when holding the knife:
.

The left wristband is visible if you inspect most knives:
.

Both left and right one and the fingers can be seen if inspecting rifles:
4. Interesting fact about the tortue-plate
The tortue section on the right uses a different pattern template than the rest of the right glove. The left one is part of the whole left glove.

So on the right this can look rather smooth by coincidence or abrupt:
.

Which one you prefer is personal preference ofc.
P.S.
As being said, I never made a guide or something similar before, so I am very interested in any feedback you can provide. Also, I am not a native speaker as you can probably tell and thankful for any corrections! If you have further questions regarding this topic, I will gladly try to answer them! :)

Thanks a lot to CS.Money for the screenshots!

I created a addendum for your guide, there is a 100% fade pattern to gloves, I'd love your feedback.

@soil.dirt.earth
Certainly debateable, though I decided that the grey is barely visible ingame and the rest of the pattern is fully faded. Hence I regarded it as Full Fade.

Thanks for the guide - have you seen the wristband on #695 though? It has a large amount of grey, so imo not a full fade right?
