Goal Of The Game
Usually the goal of the game is to defeat the enemy, reach certain scores or to build a wonder (a special building for you to win the game)

But usually players do Conquest or Deathmatch, the point is to defeat enemy's faction with your TROOP and RESOURCES. That's the most common game players do.

What To DO:

• Before starting the game, if you can, play the tutorial first
  
• If you want to try skirmish, try to read the civilization's tree build (lower part)

What to do INGAME:

• FOOD: Gather the food first (berries/bushes) and gather the tamed animals around your base. Use your worker to kill the tamed animals. Fishing works too. If you near the sea, make boat later on to fish from the sea.
  Food is essential in advancing your civilization so you can be stronger in creating more troops. Gather food to advance on civilization after you build some basic buildings.
  
• WOOD: Create more workers to gather wood. Wood will be needed to create basic buildings needed to you to advance to next level of civilization. Make wood chopping area near the trees. Make roughly 5-10 for early stages or as much as you want.
  
• Once your food is enough and you made some buildings to advance (barracks, mill/camp), do advance first by clicking your Town Hall then press red is button on left bottom corner.
  
• Make more workers as needed to gather food, wood then make mining camp to gather Gold and Rocks.
  
• As you progress, make more buildings and dont forget to upgrade your troops (blacksmith, unversity)
  
• Utilize your civilization's main troops (i.e archers specializations)
  
• Try to scout the enemy to see what they're making. I.e cavalry then use another unit to counter them. You can google this: ie. AOE2 how to counter cavalry
  
• If enough troops are ready, you can attack the enemy. Make sure to utilize catapult from FORTRESS and siege machines
