Since this was getting me very mad, at not really playing in English at all, I went to WB forum to search for some info as well, since the stick post and others didn't work to me, maybe I did something wron gor not, I don't know, but will tell what I did to make the game in English:
- Open UserEngine.ini AND bmengine.ini(\Users\xxxx\Documents\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\BmGame\Config) and change the
Language=
to what language you want as seen in the first post, if you want in English, as I did, change to:
Language=int
It's important to change both files, since one overwrite the other
when editing [GameFolder]\BmGame\Config\Launcher.ini, right BEFORE those lines where you choose the language,
;For testing localisation un-comment one of the lines below.
;
;ForceUseCulture=en
;ForceUseCulture=fr
;ForceUseCulture=it
;ForceUseCulture=de
;ForceUseCulture=es
;ForceUseCulture=pl
;ForceUseCulture=ru
just remove the ; before the first line so it reads:
;For testing localisation un-comment one of the lines below.
;
ForceUseCulture=en
;ForceUseCulture=fr
;ForceUseCulture=it
;ForceUseCulture=de
;ForceUseCulture=es
;ForceUseCulture=pl
;ForceUseCulture=ru
And voilá! :-)
Also, just to be sure, I deleted the pesky Steam link on my desktop and replaced with a shortcut to [GameFolder]\Binaries\Win32\BatmanAC.exe (or you can use BmLauncher.exe instead, if you want to play with the configs LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!) B-)
Hope it helps. Cheers!

Furthermore, language seems hard-coded as using the "ForceUseCulture" supposedly present in "Launcher.ini" to test internationalization doesn't do squat.
