This mod adds several "Banner LCD" blocks, which are essentially transparent LCDs. However, they have no frame and can only be placed flat on surfaces. Like normal LCDs, these banners allow you to display text as well as LCD images. This means you can now easily put the name of your ships on their flanks, and of course also place a huge version of your faction's logo on the walls of your base.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:





Adds four Banner LCD blocks
All blocks are available in large- and small-grid versions.

  • I strongly recommend you check out Whiplash141's Image To LCD Converter[forum.keenswh.com]. This app allows the conversion of image files you have on your PC into code that can be pasted into LCD text fields. This will then make the LCDs show your image ingame. No mods required.
  • Also consider giving my AQD - LCD Image Extension mod a try. It adds a number of additional images that can be displayed on LCDs, including banner LCDs.

By any chance can these be made to allow for image rotation?

Having issues where Isy's inventory doesn't work properly with any of these LCDs. Tons of text is cut off. Not an issue with any other mod LCD I've tried. Just letting you know.

This really adds some nice possibilites to enhance the optic of grids i would have 2 suggestions if it is not to complex:

1. Add uneven Sizes (3x3, 5x5 maybe even 1x3, 2x5 etc.)
2. Either add an Indicator of orientation or use the "Wide LCD Panel" as Basic as this has an built in function to change the orientation

Besides that really good work, please keep up with it :)

You have to select "script" instead of image, and then faction. Same as for other LCDs.

Could you possible add a pip or some kind of indication to where the top is? i keep placing them in the wrong direction lol
