Fix the lab crash at beginning
By Chipper
To fix the lab crash at beginning all you have to do is go to game install folder /The Bureau/XGame/Config/ and delete all the files in the folder. Then verify the integrity of game files and it shouldn't crash next time.

Steam installs to C:\Program Files\Steam\ folder by default and files for games installed on Steam are stored in the folder C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ by default.

Thank you so much. I have been binge watching old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack and this is the game I needed to complete the vibe. Without you I wouldn't have been able to play the game! Thank you thank you thank you

You're getting a Golden Unicorn since this short guide inspired me to fix a crash to desktop upon launching the game. I didn't delete the config but instead the binaries and it started working again thanks for that inspiration and enjoy riding into the sunset with your shiny new golden unicorn OP! :stronk:
