Allows you to start the campaign from any settlement of your choice:
when you start a new campaign the mod adds a button (see first screenshot) that allows you to click on any settlement on the map, it then gives you ownership and teleports your lords and agents there. Your old settlements turn into ruins.

Once you use the button it disappears, or it goes away on the second turn if you don't use it.
The mod works with hordes: you teleport next to the new city but don't get ownership of the city.
This is a pure script mod, so it's compatible with everything. Works in multiplayer.

If you have the Mod Configuration Tool there is an option that allows you to keep the buttons always visible. Then you can also turn the option off to hide them.
You can also use the "show css" command in my Console Commands mod to show the buttons after turn 1.
Another MCT option allows you to take over all the settlements in a province.

When you select a new settlement the mod will try to match the original settlement level and the original buildings in your new settlement, this can be disabled with MCT.

KNOW ISSUES:
You keep vision over your starting settlement, I can't do anything about that. Not even manually abandoning your settlement can solve this.
Had reports of colonels getting left behing in some cities, try this mod if you that happens to you.
Workaround for Clan Eshin tech tree.

Other notes:
Don't use the Community Modding Framework, it's outdated and breaks script mods. Since the Crynsos unlocker relies on it use the Mixu unlocker if you want script mods like this one to work.
The Turn-Time Destroyer mod runs before this mod and kills most of the minor factions away from your original starting location, so it is logically a bad pairing with this mod.
I suggest you use Kaedrin's Mod Manager.

Mod no worky?
If the mod doesn't work for you the most likely cause is your ingame scripts are broken because some other mod you have has a script error and that makes other script mods stop working as well. Try this mod by itself to make sure.

@renzolone Have you tried enabling it with Mixu's Unlocker mod as well? Its sort of a requirement. Make sure to put Mixu's at top load order.

@Dumbledood There is a mod that removes the effects of climate (both negative and positive)

for me it just won't work. i have no other mods installed and the game wont make it past the first loading screen. i have tried everything

I was planning to move Thorek to Kraka Drak for a different experience, but was wondering if climate preference will be a problem? I've nver played Thorek but I think he has tropical preference while Kraka Drak would be tunda/glacial/mountainous or something. Is there something I could do about that?

Not sure why but this mod just doesnt work for me? I have no other mods enabled, the most updated version of the game and the button just never appears, is there any fixes please?
