"Vehicles in Transport Fever 2 age and visibly deteriorate just as they did in Transport Fever. This is not only a cosmetic change but also increases the emissions from the vehicle - which will impact the willingness of citizens to remain in residential areas.

To remove the effects of ageing you can increase the vehicle's maintenance costs which will not only keep emission down to their original value but also keep the vehicle looking 'as good as new'!

The two vehicles in this image are both 24 years old but one now has maintenance set at 'Very High'."

@Maryondo, no the way the system works is that although the running cost stays the same because the emissions go up there is the risk of the town shrinking so you will have fewer passengers and so less income.

It's supposed to mean you "pay" for old vehicles one way or another and in TpF2 it's through the indirect effects of increasing emissions. Time will tell if this is a good system or not...

I am confused. Ain't the vehicles in bad conditions meant to cost more?

is it worth the price ? 5000 $ each year for a vehicle with a value of 7377 $ ... I don't see the real benefit... 5% less emission and a better look ?
