After synchronizing is done it's done and it shouldn't affect the match furthermore,no matter if it succeeded before or after the intro. It either goes right or wrong, and when it goes wrong it desyncs, and that's entirely different.
"Don't skip intros" is the same as "Network stages" a misunderstood concept that people blindly believe and spread. (The only way that network stages are a thing is that some people play on lower end PCs, and some stages might be too heavy for them to continuously run the game smoothly, which will cause frame drops on there end. But The stages in general are not in any way synchronized throughout the match and have 0 impact on network performance)
