If you're bored of normal Sid Weiner's Civilisation V then just play it drunk. Helps make the game more balanced between good and bad players.

The Idea
Civ can get unbalanced as some of your friends play better than others so make your good players worse with booze!
Also make your bad players worse with booze!
Everyone gets booze!
Different levels of the game
Depending on how many people are playing or what you're drinking you can end up feeling really drunk really quickly or feel sober for quite a while. To deal with this you can change the amount that people drink depending on how drunk you feel. For example we recommend having a finger of drink for some rules however if you feel really sober, you and your friends could up this to two fingers or more depending on how brave or stupid you are.
The Rules
Setting up the Game
Get yourself a few drinks ready, we got through about 6 cans of beer each last time we played.
Set up a lobby.
Choose random Civs, rest of the game rules are your choice but we recommend all being on the same difficulty.

Peacetime Rules
1. If you start as Babylon, Japan (This is debated so decide before you start the game if Japan is OP or not), Egypt, Poland, Korea or Arabia finish your drink. (Make them OP Civs less OP)
2. If you build a new city take a gulp, 2 gulps for your capital.
3. Found Pantheon have a sip
4. Found a Religion have a gulp. If you're the first to found a religion have 2 gulps.
5. Build a wonder take a gulp. If you build a wonder that someone else was one turn off then have an extra gulp, you dirty thief.
6. If you become Leader of Congress then have a gulp.
7. If you adopt or change an ideology take a gulp. First ideology take two gulps.
8. Have a gulp for every new era you enter.
9. If you enter a new era first you can ban a word or phrase for the era, for example 'Do Your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Turn'. And have a gulp you sweat.
10. If you become ally with a city state take a gulp
11. Accept a trade deal both gulp.
12. Manhattan Project finish drink
13. If you vomit or pass out you quit the game

War Rules
1. Declare war, finish your drink.
2. Take a City have 2 gulps.
3. Take a Capital have 4 gulps.
4. Lose a city take a gulp.
5. Steal a worker or settler take a gulp.
6. Every unit you kill take a sip.
7. Every nuke you use finish your drink.
8. If you make peace both have 2 gulps.
9. Wipe someone out finish your drink.

I don't know what rule set can benefit Japan to consider it OP. Even in Tiny Islands I'd rather other civs.

strategy: almost finish your can before doing something that requires you to finish your drink, that way you drink the least per thing you do

ROFL!! "Declare war, finish your drink." I hear ya. Declaring war is ALWAYS cause for a good, stiff drink. XD
