Small Churches

Omschrijving
Religion is incompatible with Marxism and religion was suppressed by the Soviet Union, but religion is not necessarily incompatible with socialism, so if you want to put churches in your socialist state, here are three you can use.

They are based on the ones included in the game.

P.s Karl Marx is also the man that was given his Wife's family maid and yet never paid the maid a dime and possible even had an affair with the said maid, getting her pregnant. Remember, this is the guy that is supposed to be fighting for the working class, yet he was as greedy as a Dwarf in a gold mine.

Marxism is fundamentally a anti-religious ideology. Karl Marx despised Christianity and was openly Satanic, read his poems and how his family described his actions and motivations. Saying Marxists are not happy with how the Soviets treated Orthodox Christians or how Communists in general, treat religion, is hilarious.

Marx wanted the over throw of the "existing social and political" structures, structures that were built upon religion, in this case, Western Christianity. Marx got what he wanted, because every Communist nation to ever exist, in large or small, murdered, censored or imprisoned religious people within their borders.

Below is the ending of Chapter four of the 'Communist Manifesto':
"In short, the Communists everywhere support every revolutionary movement against the existing social and political order of things.

In all these movements, they bring to the front, as the leading question in each, the property question, no matter what its degree of development at the time.

Finally, they labour everywhere for the union and agreement of the democratic parties of all countries.

The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win."

God bless you all.

Thank you,
I can understand why the devs did not want players building churches, but then why include religion as a mechanic? Yes, I understand the primary option is to demolish churches and suppress religious needs by removing the idea from the new generations, but I much prefer the idea of building churches that are loyal to the socialist state and aid in the spreading of progaganda. Soft supression instead of hard supression.

Most marxists biggest criticism of the ussr was its anti religion stance, since it has nothing to do with marxism which is an economic theory and has nothing to do with cultural or religious topics.

@El lobo the fact that the rise in atheism is related to the rise in depression is actually scientifically demonstrated (the irony) by studies that show that people with religious or spiritual beliefs tend to score higher in happiness, and more importantly, they tend to live longer! Even if someone doesn't really believe in anything, partaking in acts of altruism is also demonstrated to make you happier and live longer. These studies are not hard to find.

@AlfakleNaN You miss some of the most important historical factors for the creation and developement of religions: Guidance and Inspiration. No matter at what religion you look, they are filled with the rules nessesary for a society to function, like don't kill, don't steal, don't sleep with someones wife. Religions not only served as a way to explain the unexplainable, but also as a way yo promote order and coexistence, in a world where it was possible to commit crimes without consequence, as the technological advancements that keep our society safe didn't exist yet. Another important aspect is inspiration. It gives people hope and something to look forward to. I am not religiouse myself, but it is quite clear that the surge in atheism is one of the reasons for the strong rise in depression.

To an atheist, the emminationist prime mover argument is correct in that it shows that all matter is fundamentally unified (in a Parminidean way rather than Heraclitian absolute becoming/no causality between events or objects), but it's wrong in that it holds over from animism the mistaken attribution of soul to spirit (motion) in nature, there is no mind behind nature, minds only exist within brains. People can believe whatever they choose to, but when you understand the history of the development of these ideas, you understand how fundamentally flawed religious ideas are, while they may capture truths in a false shell, we can separate the true from the illusory. Just like Darwin structurally de-centered the traditional understanding of biology from eternal creation (from above) to historically contingent material forces (from below), Marx de-centers Hegel's logocentrism, placing the true source of meaning in this world, not in a metaphysical other world, just like how Aristotle 'took Plato out of the sky and planted him on the ground' by focusing on the potential for change between states of being in this world rather than the real world being descended from the ethereal world of forms.
