By early 2019, Bray Wyatt had won the WWE title and had just finished a successful run teaming with Matt Hardy. However, something was missing. Wyatt had spent the latter half of 2018 in stasis, rebuilding himself physically and apparently, mentally. When he did return, he showed up, not as the familiar cult leader from the swamp, but in the unlikely role as a "children's television host," appearing on segments from the "Firefly Fun House."

The Fun House slowly became more ominous over a period of weeks, until Wyatt finally revealed his newest form: The Fiend. As the Fiend, Wyatt tapped into a newfound power, appearing in darkness and obliterating everything in sight. He tormented Universal Champion Seth Rollins, stalking him for weeks, but even a questionable stoppage loss at the Hell in a Cell PPV has not stopped the Fiend.
