"Avenged Sevenfold, man, this band was a huge inspiration to me.

So this was were it all started, the folks that made me jump to the metal side of music and ditch EDM and pop. At the time of discovering them i had just began learning guitar and my friend introduced me to "Bat Country" when we were playing Rocksmith on my computer once. At first i didnt even want to touch the song, i hated metal, I saw it as the digusting, screamo-random-ear-aids-induced trash that most people view it as today. My friend was a complete metalhead at the time and we always used to argue about the genre, i used to always ask "How can you even listen to that? Its just random noises...". (oh boy...) Eventually agreed to trying the song and oh man, that ♥♥♥♥ just flicked some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ switch in my mind and that ♥♥♥♥ was stuck in my head for ages... The scream at the beginning, the amazing little part after the chorus, the absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane solo, the eargasm inducing outro, that ♥♥♥♥ got me so hyped. This was the song that made me give metal a chance. Funny how i thought this was so heavy before discovering Slipknot, PanterA, Betzefer and ect.. Eventually decided to check out more of the band and to my surprise metal became more than just "noise" and "screaming".

Being a guitarist i have insane respect for Synyster Gates, the guitarist of the band. I think he makes the songs sound soo much better and gives off the entire feel of Sevenfold, especially with the harmonics and guitar duals with Zacky. The genius that creates the amazing rollercoaster of fun, eargasm and hardons with guitar solos, that made me try and learn each one, (got quite a few of em down atm, HTTK,Bat country,Beast and the harlot,Critical acclaim,Nightmare,Seize the day, to name off the top of my head). Crazy dude, even has his own guitar school.

Matt's also really cool. Even though his voice is pretty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ right now from all the screaming in the beginning days of "Waking the fallen" and "City of Evil", the man sure put alot of effort into the albums and made em sound so much better.

And ofcourse, the Rev. Cant forget the dude. Insane drummer, no wonder he gets the respect that he does, dudes an octopus on the drums. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god.

And i think thats all about Avenged that i've got. The people that got me into metal. Even though they arent as heavy as what i listen to now, i still like to go back and listen to them once in a while, still get those crazy vibes from the solos and duels. People from the metal community have negative views on them, saying they're too mainstream, not heavy and just try to appeal to the media, no cursing, and all the "Christian" ♥♥♥♥. I dont give a ♥♥♥♥. I will always have respect for these people that made me really get into guitar and really appreciate music. Hell, i've even bought Syn's custom schecter... Thanks Sevenfold, owe you big time.

2008 LBC was fire btw."
