This is it
Like many UE4 games you might be experiencing stuttering on your AMD FX processor. The fix is rather simple.

Open your file explorer and navigate to %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\AmidEvil\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (you can paste that in your location bar).

Open the Engine.ini file (in Notepad or whatever) and add the following to the end:
[/script/engine.audiosettings]
bDisableMasterEQ=True

Game and audio stuttering should be gone. This is a known tweak for Conan Exiles. It should work in most UE4 games.
This game was unplayable on my FX 8350 before applying this fix. It might help other AMD CPUs, I have no way of testing.

Well, I'm disappointed. I've been unable to play Amid Evil for almost a year now because it runs like garbage on my PC, so I was excited when I saw this. But when I opened up the Engine ini it turned out I'd already tried this. I guess that confirms that this won't work for everyone, sadly.
