Hope you don't get angry, I've posted a guide about getting all achievements on spanish and I post this guide for people who have problems with the bosses.

When you start out, you want all of your money makers attached to the root node (your base). Increasing the height of the tree increases the update period, so you'll be getting money slower. The update period is as long as the highest branch. So if you have 3 branches that are 2 high, and 1 branch that is 10 high, the smaller branches have to wait for the long branch's cycle before getting money again.

So for example in the 5-5 video, you attach your turrets to your money makers, making the height of the tree 3. You want them attached to your base because you have space to. It's possible to get 8 blocks attached to the root node, although you have to spend some time making them fit, which might not be worth it.
