Introduction
Guide written by Saul Deeson

An adorable friend, a battleworthy ally, or transportation; Cube World’s pets are there for you.

Pets are any mob which can be tamed. Whilst active in the pet inventory slot, pets can assist you in a variety of ways and will gain XP. Pets are accessible to all classes, and the number of pets one can have is unlimited, although only one can partner the player at any given time.

This guide will be updated as new information for the full game is discovered.

How to Tame Pets
Taming a pet requires pet food. To tame the pet, click the pet food in the pet inventory tab and approach the untamed pet.

Each pet has a favourite food and will only respond to its favourite food. Pet food can be bought from item shops and traders. The availability of various kinds of pet food will vary across towns and traders. Pet food can also be obtained from monsters. The player can only carry one of each pet food.

Taming a pet in the presence of other pets will turn the untamed pets hostile.

Once a pet is tamed, their health bar will turn blue.

Should you have multiple pets, the desired pet can be selected from the pet inventory tab by clicking on it.

Mounting and Riding
This section and table are being updated as and when new information becomes available.

Some pets can be mounted and ridden.

To ride a mountable pet, you must have found reins. Reins can be found at a quest site. Once obtained, the pet can then be ridden by interacting with it. Performing an attack will dismount the pet.

The reins cannot be used outside the region they were found.

Noticed the earth caterpillar is unknown in this guide. I've found them in plains plenty of times.

Koalas appear in jungles. Somewhat rare, only encountered one.

@itsZerdath/T.TV That's brilliant! I should get around to implementing it sometime later today. If you don't mind, can I include your name somewhere in the guide as a sign of thanks? It's quite a lot of work which I think should be recognised.

@itsZerdath/T.TV That would be fantastic, and I, and I'm sure the community would be most appreciative of that.
