Hiigaran Scout- HomeWorld 2

Introduction:

Scout fighter designed for reconnaissance missions and harassing enemy forces. Lightly armed and armoured but fast and manoeuvrable, they are not the most durable craft but can easily evade larger, slower moving enemies.

This Space Engineers recreation is built from small-grid blocks and makes for a nimble little fighter and scouting vessel, armed with a single gatling cannon and an Ore detector.

Features:

Access hatch made from pistons for pilot entry
Remote control block for alternative piloting control
Gatling Cannon- attack and defend against hostile forces
Ore detector- locate valuable resources
Fully Survival ready with o2, cargo, reactors, batteries and cockpit etc.


Summary:


Due to the rather tiny size of this ship it was difficult to pack in all the features and maintain the correct aesthetic; most builders plaster the outside of their ships with thrusters, but as we know in HomeWorld 2 the ships only have thrusters on their rears- thankfully I managed to cram enough thrusters inside for the ship to handle fairly well without needing to turn off thruster damage. This does mean you can't actually fit your character inside of the ship, but there is an access hatch so that you can enter the cockpit and access the H2O2 generator in order to refill your bottles.
