weapon_cubemap | Mapping Resource

THIS IS FOR MAPPERS ONLY.

Older games have the "ENV Balls" still in them. Which is basically just a pack of balls to test cubemap reflections with. L4D2 does not have it. So i added it.
In the game files i found leftover scripts that are never used, but can work to display a weapon (you can't use it to add a functioning gun, i tried).
So what i did was modifying this script to show the envballs as a viewmodel and made a worldmodel so we effectively got the envballs back.
All you have to do is bind a key to the command "give weapon_csbase_gun". For example: bind "RALT" "give weapon_csbase_gun"
This gives you the "csbase_gun" weapon, which now is just the envballs model.

The nice thing about it is that no weapon will ever be affected by this, so you will never have to disable this mod to actually play the game.
