Pedestrians will not use the path points connected to either end of the station if the station is too close to a non-highway oriented road. road height does not affect this, instead, pedestrians will walk to the parallel road as if it's adjacent. This causes weird floating and sinking passengers for elevated/sunken stations. In order to prevent this make sure the station is at least 2 squares away from nearest road, and obviously make sure you have paths connected to one or both of the end points for the station.
Otherwise phenomenal asset.
