Changes to the Marine unit to make it more useful in the game.

The Marine is now available upon the research of Plastics, and it now has two more promotions that allow it to ignore terrain costs and have +1 Movement while Embarked. Obsolete upon researching Mobile Tactics.

The Mechanized Marine is a new unit, an alternative to the Mechanized Infantry and upgrading from the Marine. It is available upon the research of Mobile Tactics, and requires the same Production as the Marine. It is weaker than the Mechanized Infantry (82 vs. 90), but it has the same promotions as the Marine, along with +2 Movement instead of +1 while Embarked.

I'd really like to try this but it just doesn't seem to work with the current version of BNW.

How about creating a Guerrilla unit that can enter enemy areas and attack without starting a war. Marine unit should have extra seaborne movement.

Why not make the Marines upgrade into Paratroopers?
