ESCORT
It's advisable to learn "Perimeter Control" with your Team!
That - simply put - is the tactic that everyone takes a specific "angle" secure while moving - you can see that at military units advancing, looking&checking for targets - but here it's more like keeping perimeters clear of zeds! ;-)
That doesn't mean you have to strictly watch a direction when there just is no target, but it's your responsibility to keep that sector clear! - so watch it!
The simpelst way to do it is splitting 4 players onto directions relative to the drone path (Ahead, Left&Right and Behind), 1 Medic that keeps them alive and a dedicated player for taking out Heavy's (Scrake, FP)

About Perks
Medic: that is the only variable without a specific perimeter and primarily watches his team keeping them alive! - that means you can help out fighting ofc, but don't get to focused onto a direction/player and keep track of the whole dynamic inside your team!
Berserk/Gunslinger/Sharpshooter:
it is your task to watch out for Heavy's and react to callouts of your teammates - if there are multiple don't stay for the kill - with experience you gain a "feel" for when you can leave a scrake or FP to your teammates and switch to another target, wich comes handy in such situations! - if you have a typical "Hvy Klr" in one perimeter your dedicated could ignore it in his checks! ;-) (unless that player gets overwhelmed!)

WELD AND REPAIR
Having some Supports (up to two) really shines here, especially if they don't crowd onto eachother but team splitting into 2x3p teams can really help in getting things done quickly!

TRANSPORT
Having at least 1 Gunslinger with "Quick Draw" (up to 20% passive speed bonus + 5% from skill) and a Medic with "Adrenaline Shot" speeds up 10% up to 30%!) that constantly fires his Assault Rifle Darts onto that carrier (even at full health!) is advised here! ;-)

About Perks:
consider using only a "HMTech-101 Pistol" (Ammo 240) and "Spitfire" (192) or whatever secondary that weights 2 you want Combo, as both have high ammo reserve and weight only 1+2 wich makes 3 in total and thus you stay lightweight to be as fast as possible and can still dish out some bullets or dmg ;-)

OPERATE AND CONTROL
have and let the Medic camp at the Control Panel to hit E once in a while ;-)
He can (should be able) see the rest of the team and heal them if necessary - remember to not shoot large zeds, they might focus you and then you have to flee and chaos spreads!

DEFEND THE AREA
well, nothing special here - remember perimeter taking and securing and you should be fine!

EXTERMINATION
well, anything that works for the bosses works here - just you now know wich boss spawns so you can use a specific loadout!^^

but idk, statwise you could all switch to firebug and get helios rifles, but haven't experience with that!
