How to Remove Mouse Acceleration in F.E.A.R. 2

I'll tell ya how to remove the stupid mouse acceleration this game has using the FEAR 2 Mouse Fix.

You're gonna want to head over to this page and download the FEAR 2 Mouse Fix.

Click the green 'Download this File' button on the right side. Wait a few seconds and the download will start.

The page should look like this:

When the download is finished, unzip the file using Winrar, if you don't have Winrar you can get it here:

Inside the unzipped file should be a file called 'X3DAudio1_5.dll'

Open File Explorer and navigate to your F.E.A.R. 2 folder, it should be under C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\FEAR2.

Place 'X3DAudio1_5.dll' inside your FEAR2 folder.

Aaaaand, you're done! you can close File Explorer and boot up F.E.A.R. 2 from Steam and play it without the crappy mouse acceleration!

Turns out the issue was I was using xmousebuttoncontrol which had some input translation errors

On Windows 10 you can go to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Mouse' > 'Additional mouse options' > 'Pointer Options' and disable 'Enhance pointer precision' setting.

for some reason my mouse occasionally jerks to a different area of the game when i use this fix. has anyone else had this issue

I have a mouse that has a button to decrees the dpi, it has 4 levels so you can switch between them in a flash. it really works well and the mouse speed is perfect.

i have a 144hz monitor and the fix works for me. however it also makes mouse be really slow like the guy below me said. capping to 60 doesn't seem to help
