(4 - 6) Budapest

설명
Heavily depending on the Hungarian oilfields as last income source for fuel, the Wehrmacht declared Budapest a 'Festung', meaning it had to be held at any cost. The Red Army started its offensive against the city on 29 October 1944. More than 1,000,000 men, split into two operating maneuver groups, advanced, encircling German and Hungarian Forces. Around February 1945 the fighting was shifting towards the districts west of the Danube River and around Buda castle whose medieval tunnel system underneath the fortress had been serving as command center for the Wehrmacht. The Siege went on for over 4 months and ended with a desperate outbreak through Soviet lines on 13 February, which led to the biggest defeat in Hungarian military history.

Good map, very good looking, maybe a but claustrophobic but that's urban combat.

Just updated the map:
-Turned it into a winter map (only meaning that units now have winter skins).
-Made some minor changes (by replacing some few objects for better path finding and true sight).

However I did NOT turn it into an 4v4 map as there was not enough space for more starting positions and I don't feel like moving many of the buildings around. I put a lot effort in the historical accuracy and I would like to maintain it as much as possible.

Hey! Why don't you just make another version(s) of the map? For example 4v4 winter version. You don't have to change the current version at all, if you don't feel like doing that :)

First of all thank you very much for the positive feedback!
About the questions regarding the choice not to make it a winter map:
Winter in Budapest isn't that extremely cold and secondly I simply like the summer skins better.
I don't think I'll be making a 4vs4 version of the map, as I think it works pretty fine the way it is now. Also enlarging the starting territories would tamper the authenticity of the map and I really wanted it to stay as close as possible to the original real life Budapest.
But if you find a balance problem I'll definetely be giving it some more work.
It's nice to hear that you all enjoy playing my maps.
Have fun and eventually There will be some more maps coming up

This is one of the coolest looking maps I have ever seen! Very cool! It would be very great to see a map of this artistic caliber in the game for automatch.
