Descrição
The first Elementary School in my collection of Schools from Toronto. This is a recreation of the school I attended; William Tredway Junior Public School (JK-6).

William Tredway Jr PS opened in 1957. The school was expanded first in 1960 with an addition to the classroom wing, and then again in 1962 with a new 2 floor classroom wing on the schools east side. This new addition would receive a small expansion in 1965, however this expansion would be torn down in 1968 to make space for a new Middle School to be built next door. In 2015 William Tredway Jr PS and neighbouring J.S.Woodsworth Sr PS would be merged to form Tredway-Woodsworth Public School.

The facility includes 19 Standard Classrooms, 3 Kindergarten Rooms, Gym (with stage), and Library.

UPDATE: Updated asset with new model and textures to be more accurate to the real building!

Cost to Build: $20,000
Upkeep: $320
Size: 12x4
Student Population: 500

I really like the little "apple" that they styled specifically to look like the islamic crescent and star. Very clever use of space/shapes. There's a lot of that going around, largely un-noticed.

well I'd personally suggest St. Margarets Public School in the west hill area. Its somewhat unique since most of the school is in a long portable building, and the main building is bright orange. Different from most if not all schools in scarborough.

@Aminushki You can suggest a school, however I can't promise it will be done. I currently have a couple of others on my to-do list but I'm open to suggestions.

will you take requests for scarborough schools? Love your work

@BobGrey In Toronto at least Cafeteria's in the older Elementary schools aren't all that common. You usually find them either in the newer schools or in schools that go up to Grade 8 since Middle Schools always have one. Most of the time the school will either repurposed a room or two for lunch duty or use the gym.

I've noticed that both the Elementary Schools have no Cafeteria. I do love how you have a floor plan map of these schools!
