Introduction
One of the most difficult and possibly time-consuming achievements on the Steam version of Final Fantasy VII is amassing a significant amount of Gil, the currency of the series, to meet said conditions to unlock achievement. In this case, it is amassing ninty-nine million, nine hundred ninty-nine thousand, nine hundred ninty-nine Gil (99,999,999 for the TL:DR crowd).

This guide will show, even though it will still take a significant amount of time, the quickest way to unlock the achievement.
Requirements for money-making
Before you start making your cash, let's go over what you need to hit the proverbial gold mine:

1) You must be on Part 2, after collecting two of the four Huge Materia and in essense, get Cloud and Tifa back into your party.

2) Three All materias--They can be bought at some shops along your way through the game.

3) Two Transform Materias--Not as easily bought in shops, but at least one is scatterd around the game.

3) Thee weapons that have four slots for Materia Growth and double the materia growth for the sake of expediting the gold rush.

4) The Highwind--You will have access to this airship midway through part 2.
Part 1--The AP farming way
First off, have the three people in your battle team equipped with weapons that has four non-linked slots and double the AP growth. For those weapons, have all three equipped with the All materia and then have two weapon equipped with the Transform Materia for extra cashflow From there, take the airship all the way to island of Mideel, making sure you land on a small green inlet to the south (you can tell when you get there).

Once there, land and disembark and follow the path to the shoreline. Keep walking back-and-forth on the shoreline until you get into a random enounter. The monster you will fight is a giant sandworm. It has 8,000 HP and yields 200 AP upon defeat.

The general strategy in mind is using physical attacks on it until it dies. With the All and Transform materia in the Double Growth weapons, you should get exactly 400 AP from it. Keep getting into sandworm encounters until the Transform Materias are mastered and then the All materias.
Part 2--Cashing in your Chips
After mastering the materias (which should take two hours tops), take the airship to the nearest town, preferably Klamth. From there go to your materia menu and replace the master materia (All and Transform) with newborn materia of the same kind into their respective slots. Go to the shop select Sell and then select Materia and then sell the Mastered All and Mastered Transform Materia.

With that said, the mastered All materia will fetch a whopping 1,400,000 Gil, which is a gold mind considering how much you paid to purchase them to begin with and the Transform will sell for 350,000 Gil.

With that, you will have a repeatable loop of All and Transform Materia to master and sell. The total revenue from this activity, not counting the Gil you earn from killing the sandworms (5,000 Gil for the record) you will make a total of 4.9 million Gil in just two hours time
Closing notes
With this guide in hand, you will have alot of gil and eventually work your way towards the Master of Gil achievement. And so ends this guide.

Special thanks goes to Twitch,tv broadcaster Paladinlord10 for suggesting the All Materia portion of the guide.

I wouldn't say this is a bad guide. If you want all that money before disc 3, fair enough, I am.
Mideel is (as far as I'm aware) the best place for leveling materia/limits on disc 2.

However, Do not bother with the sandworms. Just go to the forest next to the town, you encounter 3 sleep-bugs, or 4-6 clawed bugs. Each fight will give you (with double APG) 440 to 660 AP per encounter. If you've got triple APG, well....Bonza.

Although, if you can wait, the North crater is the best place, by a country mile.

This is a bad guide, do NOT follow it.

The best place for any AP/EXP/Gil farming is on Disc 3 in the Crater. Make your way to the area with vines n stuff, where Magic Pots and Movers are.

Equip Triple/Double equipment and farm to your heart's content: a side note is that you could also equip EXP/Gil Plus to make it go even faster.

1,400,000 Gil? For an All materia? Is that accurate?
