Capitalism, ho!
Phase 1
  1. Collect 500 gold to unlock potion shop and 2000 gold for cash register upgrade
  2. If you have extra money to spare in morning, buy stack(s) of the most expensive guidance or reveal potions you can afford.
  3. Put stack(s) sale for the same price you bought them and wait heroes to come search for equipment. You can sell other stuff for regular customers.
  4. Profit

Phase 2
  1. Save 8 000 gold to unlock Shop level 1
  2. Save 20 000 gold to unlock Hawker
  3. Buy fruit bowl (after you have visited forest area) and Golem crystals (after you've beaten Golem area)
  4. Decorate shop accordingly
  5. Repeat original scheme
  6. Much more profit

Phase 3
  1. Keep upgrading cash register, shop level and keep decorating
  2. Repeat original scheme
  3. Most profit

Please note: Due to the nature of tips and your shop assistant being a lousy liar, instead of taking "30% of benefits" she insists, she may take up to 65% of "benefits". In case of retailing potions it becomes just a plain case of redistribution of income. Using her "services" isn't therefore recommend.

It's been quite long since I played the game, so I don't remember anymore how customers worked. I just remember that the logic of heroes and normal customers was different. I'd guess in this context it was that heroes could buy however expensive item, if it was was reasonably priced compared to its base value, or something.

The only thing that really mattered was that the game had an oversight and you could buy potion, sell it for the same price and then multipliers generated very much money. Also you could sell very expensive potions, which carried the thing late game. I don't really know if the thing worked in versions of the game that came after DLC, but no one has complained :viridian:

wont regular customers buy the potions instead of the heros?

This was supposed to be a half joke-guide :happymeat: In all simplicity the idea is that the whole shopkeeping-system emphasizes tips in a quite unique fashion. You don't get tips from sales box (forgot to mention that) or assistant sales, so they are quite useless. You can sell reveal or guidance potions at very slightly more expensive price than what you bought them, but in most of the cases the profit is quite closely the tip percentage. It might seem stupid at first (and it is extremely stupid), but if you invest in reveal and guidance potions more each day for example 10 days and sell them each day, you'll notice what the thing is about.

update: i did notice that they price at which i bought the potions is lower than the 'perfect price', so i can sell them at a higher price than what i bought them.. eg; the cheapest one costs 379, but i can sell it at 440 (and even more when it becomes popular)

hi, question with Phase 1..
so i've got that 'sales 75%" upgrade and i've got the potions (and armor) shop. now i've bought some guidance potions, do i sell them in that "75% sale' box or in the regular box (the one with only 4 slots)?
also, i don't really see how i'm making profit when selling things at the same price that i bought them? or am i missing something there?

thanks for the guide anyhow... hope you can brighten things up for me!
