Overview

This is the full version of a mod I made long ago that only worked for the default French trader woman. Now it works with all the current ones (default, hans, lockheart, patriarch, santa).

There's a different method to completely silence the traders that seems to work for me but not everyone (most likely because there's a very specific way to do it), and until this method stops working I won't waste my time on making that the same way I made this.

In this case, "Minimized" means that the trader speaks just about as often as the one from KF1 does. This means that they'll only tell you:

• when the game starts
  
• when the wave is almost over
  
• when the wave has ended
  
• when trader time is almost over
  
• when trader time is over and the next wave is starting
  
• when the next wave is the boss wave
  
• when a weapon is too heavy to buy (only happens when double-clicking the weapon)
  
• when a weapon is too expensive to buy (only happens when double-clicking the weapon)
  
• objective callouts/reminders (for objective mode & stand your ground objectives in survival)
  
• miscellaneous instructional lines from gamemodes that don't exist yet

This mod is for people who enjoy the company of a trader but don't want them giving you purchase suggestions, advice, complimenting/insulting your performance, and stating the obvious in general.

Update Instructions

In the event of an update (check the date on the Change Notes) and this is NOT your first time installing, here's how to update:

1. Go back to the following directory:

2. Open the folders of the traders you want minimized (open "all" for all traders).

3. There you will see several .wem files. Press CTRL+A to select all files within the folder.

4. Press CTRL+X to cut all the files you've selected.

5. Go to the following directory:

6. Paste the new files there. If asked to override, click "Yes to All".
6a. Repeat steps 1-6 for all the traders you want minimized if you didn't cut the files from the "all" folder.

7. You're done!

Installation Instructions

1. Click the green "Subscribe" button.

2. Start KF2 so the game can download the files.

3. Exit KF2.

4. Go to the following directory:

5. Open the folders of the traders you want minimized (open "all" for all traders).

7. Press CTRL+X to cut all the files you've selected.

8. Go to the following directory:

10. You're done installing!
