Gladio et Sale (With Sword and Salt) compatible with vanilla 2.0 'Marius'.

In the spirit of the popular Veritas et Fortitudo mod (EUIV), the same deft touch of modding comes to breath life into Imperator:Rome and bring the player an altogether more real and immersive experience. With the stoppage of development on Imperator by Paradox, an opportunity exists to forge the future of Imperator through modding.

Version 2.0 (Compatible with vanilla 2.0 'Marius')

Feature List:

* Expansion of the map to include China and Korea with unique mechanics for China's 'Hundred Schools of Thought' religion; for the 'Light' version of the mod which does NOT include the map, find it here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1940823033

* Adjusted cohort size and manpower for more realistic army sizes and strategic constraints

* Assimilation and conversion are overhauled; they function based on separate probabilities for differing pop types and culture groups meaning multiple pops can convert at once if appropriate

* Rebalance to pop desire to make more realistic pop distributions

* Added military traditions for Chinese, Illyrian/Dacian, and Iberian

* Added trade goods for copper, lead, silver, opium, wax, porcelain, and jade

* Added Illyrian, Anatolian and Caucasian culture groups; cultures added to each culture group to represent foreigners acclimated to but never completely of your culture (E.G. 'Hellenized'). Moved Thracian culture to the Dacian group; added a Hellenic Thraikes culture and split Thracian pops between Thracian and Thraikes.

* Changes to the game setup with new nations added in Italy, Dacia, Persia, and Scythia.

* Added country-specific missions for Epirus, Egypt, Armenia, Pontus, Parthia, Persis, Macedon, Thrace, Antigonids, and Seleucids

* Rebalanced diplomacy, specifically subjugation willingness and ability to convert tributary subjects to client states over time

* Ability to upgrade ports for increased bonuses to commerce and shipbuilding

* Added two new unit types (javelins and slingers) for more variety in ranged units

* Added baseline terrain values for combat abilities of various units

* Added unique Frontier Wall settlement building for Chinese military traditions and added Metropolis-specific buildings of Amphitheatre, Hippodrome, Baths, Gymnasium, Military Camp, and Library. Added settlement buildings for freedmen-produced food goods and some culture-unique buildings as well.

Features of earlier Gladio Et Sale versions incorporated into the vanilla game:
* Overhaul of game function to remove religious and civic power while limiting military power to traditions and mercenaries making oratory power the single power currency
* Addition of numerous city buildings

Nice Mod, checked out Korea. Any possibility of it getting updated?
Just in case you take to update: Ports are not where they should be in the expanded map (China & Korea), like some are in the middle of hills or forests.

Nice MOD that emphasize Asian kingdoms and very compatible with Improved buildings which i loved, but the huge problem is that when you build roads it's invincible except using Atlas mode. got to be my top list MOD if the creator could fix this issue.

I started up a new game with Rome and started doing some missions and found an issue that probably wasnt intended. With the change to cultural assimilation needing 10 years after a conquest to start assimilating pops, it makes the rewards from certain mission trees absolutely pointless. Especially Rome in the very beginning of the game, unless I wanted to wait out the 10 years after conquering to activate the mission trees. Though that keeps me sitting in Mission trees that otherwise I could have already moved on from

Very fair my friend, my apologies. I actually approached them too and was rebuffed, so I hear you. I modded Rome 2 and am a bit of a history nerd. Figured I could help.

@Augustus II: I predated Invictus by a year or more; they chose to do their own thing. I am still slowly working on the mod and I have talked with them in the past but they were not interested in the type of major overhauls I foresee as necessary to basic systems like trade and levies.

While I love that people are modding this game I just wish major energy would be spent sub modding the already great overhaul mod. Like for Rome 2 very few people create vanilla overhauls anymore, they mod DEI.

Adding China does sound amazing but a mod where you did that as an Invictus submod would be better imho. No offense man this seems like great work. Maybe talk to the guys at Invictus and see about combining forces. Really make this the amazing game it could of been.
