The Chad Mod!

Now with more bandannas!

Dumb tough-guy Chad seriously needs his own place, so here it is. Now you can make the world safe from posers while bringing nothing but your fists to the plank fight. He's a bad-ass with a taste for dried meat. Ladies love him and dudes want to be him. He's Chad, and this is your one stop shop for all things Chad!

CHAD STARTS:

The Chad -- Custom start as Chad in Flat's Lagoon.

* The Greatest -- Chad, Infinate Wingwang, Crumblejon, Stubs Momuso and Bard assemble at The Hub. Because Chad ain't a nobody.

* Chad with a dog -- Chad finds a puppy. Maybe he'll make some dried meat.

CHAD GEAR:

Chad starts with a couple of minor special items, his book of Kung Fu secrets and the wraps he made from the skin of a gutter. Designed to complement his backstory, and give a special item to further build off of (books make Kenshi work).

Also added two additional tiers of (unique) martial arts bindings, Champion and Legendary grade. All three new wraps give modest (5-15%) increases to attack speed, dodge and damage, keeping martial arts viable while you train Chad to become the greatest. In 3 unique colors to reflect grade. Champion and Legendary Bindings are now available from enemy loot, some tech hunter shops and a couple of chests in the world.

CHAD FACTIONS:

Two unique minor factions -- Posers and Legends.

Posers -- A variation of the Vagrant, these are the wanna-bes, bar-flies, junior toughs and rich kids from the local area. Posers come in all flavors and typically just bring trouble with them. Help Chad clean out these losers from local bars.

Legends -- Chad is a bit of a fan-boy for his heroes. These are his heroes. Comprised of some of the toughest fighters in the world, they wander the world, or hang out in bars, and typically have high bounties. These guys are the real deal, so don't push 'em too hard or they'll leave you dying in a pool of your own blood.

CHAD NPCs:

Bard -- I turned Bard's gear back on (his longcoat, and other clothes were set to 0 in base game. I gave them a real number). Chad's old bindings and headband went to him as well. This again proves that Chad, on top of everything else, is also a pretty chill bro.

Four Poser Bosses -- Pancho, Lefty, Trashcan Stan and Mercy. Spreading out from the swamps to the High Bonefields these guys are local rowdies, extortionists and wanna-bes. Show them the error of their ways. Each is uniquely equipped and a couple are cybernetically enhanced.

* CHAD MERCENARIES:

Three Legendary Mercenary Units -- Be a fan-boy and hire your heroes! Based on the characters created for Houses of Shadow.

* Kensei -- wandering mercenary and legendary sword saint. He wanders the world selling his skills to the highest bidder. One of the best fighters in the game.

* Kitten -- former heiress to a slave empire, now said to be working for the anti-slaver movement. Legendary ninja who is rumored to have studied under Tinfist himself.

* The Roach, Riff & Raff-- Legendary hive prince and his gang of master thieves. Said to be operating out of the swamps, and conducting raids against the Holy Nation.

ALSO INCLUDED:

All the dried meat you can afford to eat -- Chad didn't get those muscles from thin air and veggies...

Several new bandanna colors, and a couple of unique ones!

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT:

More NPCs -- currently populating the world with small gangs of scum and villainy for Chad to test himself against. As the Legends and Posers are added to Kenshi will become even more dangerous.

New Interactions -- As I get more comfortable with the dialogue system I want to make a few interactions tied to Chad's book and maybe the two unique bandannas.

99% complete, but with room to expand. I've been adding to it as I have Chad wander through the wastes away from Flat's Lagoon. I don't plan on adding much more, but as I play I get ideas, so who knows.

The two added factions are pretty small, only showing up at a few bars and waystations or wandering from town to town. This is entirely intentional. I'm trying not to be too disruptive to the overall ecology. I really just wanted to add a bit of content to the game, in the form of both potential friends and enemies, giving it a more Chad level of Chadliness.

For kicks, I added a certain piece of martial arts gear to a chest in The Hub. I also threw a gang of posers in the local bar for those who want to find Chad later.

I kept everything in line with game lore, I just made it a bit more Chadworthy. Now go get some dried meat and get going.

I apologize if I offended any Chad's in the making of this mod. It's meant in the spirit of fun -- and bandannas.
