On the surface, or deep under the crust, the 850 Hydraulic Excavator makes moving earth child's play.

VEHICLE OVERVIEW:

Prominently raised out from the front of the 850 HE is an articulating drill boom with two joints and two drills. Linkages allow the drills to be raised and lowered at the 'shoulder' joint without adjusting the angle of the 'forearm' which reduces operator strain and increases productivity.

Offset to the left, and raised above the work space, the control seat has an unobstructed view of the drilling operations. Further site awareness comes from multiple cameras mounted around the vehicle and on the boom arm itself.

The suspension on the front two wheels can be actuated to raise or lower the body of the vehicle, allowing for improved stability on uneven terrain, allowing the 850 HE to go where other wheeled mining vehicles can't.

A number of spotlights mounted to the body and the tool arm, and markers along the body itself, keep the drilling operation bright and safe.

OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS:

- Use WASD to drive the excavator

- Use [Action group 1] to control the hydraulics:
-- [1/2] Control raising and lowering the boom
-- [3/4] Control the curl of the boom
-- [5/6] Control the extension of the drill tool
-- [7/8] Control the front wheel suspensions
-- [9] Select the drill tool (Mouse left to drill, mouse right to excavate)

- Use [Action group 2] to control the secondary systems:
-- [1] Boom camera
-- [2] Drill camera
-- [3] Forward body camera
-- [4] Rear body camera
-- [5] Head & tail lights
-- [6] Strobe lights
-- [7] Body spotlights
-- [8] Arm spotlights
-- [9] Hydrogen engine on/off

- Use [Action group 3] to control emergency forward propulsion overrides to navigate challenging terrain:
-- [1] Increase propulsion override
-- [2] Decrease propulsion override
-- [3] Reset propulsion override
-- [4/5] Control front wheel suspension hydraulics
