Alright,first of all,what is this? It's one of two games before even gameboy color,these two having battle systems all their own,different even from each other!

This games battle system is essentially that of a 1 on 1  turn based RPG (i'm not currently aware if any others exist)

in this system,your speed decides when you can go (able to go twice in a row at times),and you can get from 3-7 attacks per turn.This is possibly one of the most loyal storylines as well,only having two possible breaks in the storyline (one being a random encounter,one being...this fight).It takes place from the World Martial Arts Tournament (vs Piccolo) to the saiyen saga.

Anyway starting off,Goku vs Goku,both the same except you're a bit faster.

Notes:
1.the first slot on main menu has 2 moves,these are Tackle and Kick,they have their own submenu's because you get more tackles and kicks later
2.The second to last option on main menu belongs to specials,1 is KI (ki blast,stronger ki,kamehameha) and the last one is special physical
3.I use special physical a lot in this fight because it unlocks one of the strongest and most accurate attacks,i would not fight vegeta without it.
4.On defense,1 is block,2 is evade,and 3 is 'do nothing' (don't do this,it can counter but it's rare)
5.On Blocks,hit as dead center as possible to minimize damage
6.On evade,Simon Says on crack.Either no damage or all.
