actualy hanifi shafi maliki and habali are not sects of islam there just schools of thaught im sunni of the hanafi magh-hab (shool of thaught) all they are is schools that take things from the hadith like for example the prophet muhammad was known to pray in 4 slightly deffrent ways like seen in neeling possition sometimes waving his index finger side to side or rising it up once the hanafi take the part of rising the finger up wile the maliki wave it side to side so there is no deffrence in the four except they take to deffrent teachings the prophet taught or does things slightly deffrent.

there not sects like the shia or sufi ore other known islamic sects just 4 schools of thought makes it easier to studie islam as a school of thought instead of try to do it as an individual makes learning easier so you dont confuse yourself

Can you delete city states that are not located in the Middle East - like Milan, Genoa, Florence, Jakarta, Kathmandu, et al? In other words, add as many Middle Eastern cities as you like to your above list - you can even include ones in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the stans.

Did you include Israel?

This map would be perfect if it had true starting locations. As it is, civs tend to get bunched up in weird parts of the map leaving fertile areas completely empty.

You could use the following civs:

1. Arabia
2. Assyria
3. Babylon
4. Byzantium
5. Carthage (representing the Pheonicians) - capital at Tyre, or at Byblos to reduce crowding with Rome
6. Egypt - capital at Memphis preferably, but Thebes is fine too
7. Ethiopia
8. Greece - capital at Alexandria
9. Mongolia - capital at Samarkand
10. Ottomans - capital at Ankara
11. Persia
12. Portugal - capital at Muscat, Oman
13. Rome - capital at Jerusalem

Please make this happen, it would be amazing!

2 Shiism split into:

Ja'farism (legalistic pragmatic)
Ismailism (messianic idealistic)
Alevitism (sectarian idealistic)

3 Mutazilism (rationalistic)

4 Kharijism (rationalist anarchistic)

5 Ibadism (rationalist traditionalistic)

6 Murji'ism (pragmatic rationalistic)
