Re-uploads are delicate. I don’t think people should be slapping a new color, or textures, and uploading it. 2 criteria should be met, IMHO, to re-upload somebody’s creation.
1. Changes should significantly add value. 10 clicks aren’t likely to cut it.
2. Full credit given to OP author, even if there’s no resemblance to the original. For instance, StuBob gave me a ship, which I turned into the “Zirax Light Fighter,” I recently uploaded. I changed everything, but still gave credit for his ship I started with. He deserves it as his it inspired me to make the Zirax fighter, and IMHO, did make it much easier. It fits perfectly into the hangars on the Zirax Dreadnought. This is, so far, my 1st and only upload. Learned the hard way, not to publish without changing the included pic first. I assumed I do it later.
So anyway, unless you have an objection, I will soon upload these modifications to your builds. If you would rather I not, I will refrain from doing so.
The Vault I converted to act as a spawn point near our Autominers, or other locations we may want to visit cheaply, and quickly. So it now has an interior. This has allowed me to learn that on many servers, the planets are not turning. While it appears to turn, one side, according to the batteries, is always on the dark side. At times, from space, you can see this. Getting solar to work on planets, has been hit or miss as a result. So I am working on an extremely tiny base whose sole purpose is to test out solar viability.
Here's the thing, and my friends no this...when I do these changes, I make it a priority to retain your style, so it appears that you made the changes, not me. I've been told that this effort has been successful. In fact, the overlook for the repair station looks seamless, and the first friend I showed, did not know it was my addition until I told him. He thought it was part of the original.
I also used the base of the turret platform, and heavily modified it to add an engineering section underneath, and used this to be the base for an MCRN ATC Tower. It offers a commanding view of the base below. This on a planet in our Faction Owned Solar System with many of your MCRN structures. One of the server admins visited the base and said it's the coolest one on the server.
The farm, I took from 180 plots, to 1260. So far, we use it to farm fiber. Gives 15K fiber in one harvest. I am presently working on it to work on planets/moons with no / toxic atmospheres. This involves a lot of glass on top, as the entire roof was converted to plots, and the footprint is equal to 4 Waypoint Farms. Engineering and Crafting area was added below.
The MCRN Nest we use on a Zirax world with little light, and toxic atmosphere. I also surrounded it with 4 turret platforms. These 5 structures, I made significant changes to. Removed the solar panels, upgraded the materials (Carbon to Reinforced Concrete and Combat Steel), added shields to the turret platforms. Added 2 extra laser turrets to the vertical pole. The pole now has 4 laser turrets. Added sentries to turret platforms and base. Added an overlook platform and room for the repair station, both overlooking the hangar. I added 9 turret platforms where the solar panels had been, and turrets on the roof. I do play on a server with no CPU, so I need to redo this for vanilla RE. This one is meant to fight. At this point, it may be good enough for PvP, though for that, I would move the Core inside, and in a well defended location.
