Best Way To Get Achievements Done.
First off...

Check out all the guides in the Achievement Guides section then and most importantly...

DO THEM ALL,USING ONE PROFILE!

When using more than one profile,Steam records them as they are achieved per profile and they will keep changing on you. Been dealing with this over & over because,I have several profiles with different trucks & set-ups for each and like driving them all. For instance. If one achievement requires you to visit 20 cities in a State and you have 9/20,when you change profiles, you might have 3/20,when you log out,Steam will only show you the last achievements for the last profile you used. Each profile,collects it's own achievements. If not,log out with your most used profile,the one with the most achievements achieved.

This is so true and if you don't believe it, check it out for yourself. For ex: I had 6 of the Logged In achievement done and I change profiles and chose a different truck. I purposely chose this account because, I had yet to use it since the Forrest Machinery DLC was released and sure enough, my achievement progress started over. This is from using Steam Cloud.

The achievement process starts where you last left off with each profile. Steam will save it as it is. One other way to check is to, switch profiles and at the very start of the game, when you enter the main menu screen, in the lower left (for me) achievement windows will start popping up showing you your achievement progress for that profile and when you log out (using steam cloud) they will be reset for your achievement progress as they are set for that profile. So, by using more than one profile at a time, it looks like you'll never finish all the achievements in a timely matter.

Yes, I have so many profiles and was collecting them at different times and on my list, I saw all the changes. Each time you change profile, Steam loads the ones for that particular profile. At a glance, whenever you look at your achievement page, it seems like you're not getting anywhere with them.

I found out this was true, as well. I'm only using one profile in ATS. I should get them all without issues. Deleted the other profile I had, just to keep from using it.
