System Survival Respawn Ships

Beskrivelse
A basic set of VANILLA survival ships using the Survival Kit & O2 generator. These will replace the existing respawn ships/pods with these two:


The Intrepid, an explorer spaceship. Battery & solar powered with hydrogen.

The Recon Respawn, a planetary lander. Battery & solar powered.


These ships should cover all available respawn points for space and planetary survival adventures.

In the cargo you will find 20 ammo, 1000 ice, oxygen & hydrogen bottle have been included in each ship. There are no guns or turrets, you'll need to build those yourself...

Coolness. I need to learn how to do that myself. My Blueprints are in a giant mess right now ... but I just posted a screenshot of two work in progress examples I am currently playing with. I only need storage on them. The smaller one is an absolute blast to get out on the biggest ice lake you can find and play with the wheel settings. It is like drifting a dump truck. :)

Yes, the preview pic, I guess you call it. Other respawn ship mods I have tried do display the actual ship. Nikolas March's and AQD's mods, for example. I have no worries. I just observe and comment. ;)

My goto cab/cockpit is Eikester's (DX11) Cockpit. Amazing how the overall look of these types of vehicles change with the different cockpits available to us. I had not posted mine because I use mods and, you know, whiners. Maybe I can produce a decent screen shot.

Hey Genjokan, thanks! I'm glad you are enjoying them :)

About the blocks in the respawn screen...did you mean the preview pic? If so, the game pulls the thumbs from the game directory and unfortunately mods do not install images there. If you meant something else Lemme know and I'll see what I can do.

These are brilliant. And not just because I have build a variation of the Recon dozens of times. I have never come close to making mine look this refined though. And that rear spoiler!
Only issue I have after several playings is that they show up as blocks in my respawn screen.

@Omicron and others; I have made a slight modification to the Intrepid to enable access to the O2 generator thru the cockpit. Everyone can breathe easy once again! :steamfacepalm:

Thanks Omicron, I'll look into it. I know in the recon it works best thru the cockpit but I'll need to have a closer look.

You can probably fix this by just swapping the positions of the O2 generator and survival kit, since nothing the kit uses or produces actually requires a large conveyor connection.
