The driller, believe it or not, is a very good bezerker dwarf.
He may not have the best ranged weaponry, but when things get up close and personal them leaf loving losers better watch out!
When using melee related perks such as bezerker or vampire his power only increases, which is convenient because that's what i'll be showing you today.

Below is an image of perks to reference. Important perks are highlighted in red.
The perks in the image are what i recommend to use with the driller, however this is just my personal preference. For the purpose of this guide you only need the highlighted perks, vampire and bezerker.
You may also want weekend athlete for faster movement as the driller doesn't have much ranged ability, so you will be running up to things a lot.

Make sure you are using the selected perks, then equip your power drills while in-game.
Because the drills are classed as a melee weapon they will work with vampire and bezerker.
The drills are now your own personal medic tools. They are also much faster than the pickaxe.


This is how i modified my drills. I included the barbed upgrade to kill enemies even faster but the rest is up to you.
If you also use the cryo cannon you can freeze enemies and melee them to get some health as well.
Drill those frozen freaks into oblivion!
