i understand the reason behind the mod, that's how they were in the previous game, i think the black box was intentional though, heroes of hammerwatch is meant to be a randomized and faster pace game so careful examining each wall or simple checking all walls all the time by walking up against them isn't the same pace as the rest of the game. it worked in hammerwatch because in hammerwatch you're supposed to look around and find the hidden objects all over the place to get the better ending. in this game you're more trying to clear constantly increasing difficulties of the tower so stopping and checking every single wall severely slows down the pace of the game

nice mod tho, i thought it looked weird too
