“ Julius provides a number of configuration settings that can fix bugs present in Caesar 3 and change the user interface a bit. You can access the configuration through the "Options" button, on the main menu screen with the "Load saved game" and "Start new career" buttons.

Display scale

This slider controls the 'zoom' of the display, which acts the same as the scale options provided in Windows. For example, if you are playing on a 1920x1080 monitor but you find things too small, you can increase the scale to 150% to play at the equivalent of 1280x720, or to 200% which is the equivalent of 960x540. This option can also be used to fix tiny graphics caused by 4k displays. The maximum zoom is limited by the size of the current window: Julius requires a minimum resolution of 640x480.”

You can change the zoom of everything to make it look like “worse” resolution and bigger through OPTIONS in main menu.

I replaced Game1Exe=c3.exe with the Game1Exe=julius.exe now when I open Caeser 3 I have a mini screen :( How to get the right resolution?

Creator of Julius here. Please don't link directly to the zip file: version 1.1 is very old and contains quite a few gameplay-affecting bugs that have been fixed in later releases. Please link to the releases page instead: https://github.com/bvschaik/julius/releases

Github page says that:

Note: If you install Caesar 3 using Steam and plan to use Steam to launch the game, do not rename julius.exe to c3.exe. Doing so will make the mouse cursor disappear when using right-click to scroll.

Instead, open SierraLauncher.ini and replace Game1Exe=c3.exe with the Game1Exe=julius.exe.

Very good patch (mod). Corrects screen resolution and sound quality + minor game errors. Suitable for any edition of the game. The game takes on a new life. Run with julius.exe
