  1. Go to C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\metro exodus\##################\user.cfg
  2. Open user.cfg and press "ctrl+f" and type the command from below you want to locate.

Change FOV:
  • "r_base_fov #."
  • Things such as screen blood does not resize with the FOV
  • For 16:9, 90 FOV = 59 FOV (Link: FOV Calculator[battlefield.ab-stuff.de])

Disable Motion Blur:
  • "r_game_mblur_scale 0"
  • "r_blur_level 0"

Fix Mouse Input:
  • "mouse_curve_coef 0"
  • "mouse_curve_num 0"
  • "sens border 2"

Remove Grass Shadows:
  • "r_foliage_hemi_ao 0"
  • "r_foliage_shadows 0"

Fix Black Screen Launch:
  1. Go to (Example): D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Metro Exodus
  2. Delete .webm files - credits.webm and legal.web
  3. Update AMD/NVIDIA GeForce drivers
  4. Restart the PC
  5. Thank this guide

Notes
  • Unfortunately many settings such as TAA cannot be disabled as it causes many graphical errors
  • I personally recommend disabling the crosshair when playing, especially if you increase your fov

7900x3D/7950x3D users experiencing heavy stuttering, even at the main menu:

Tried a bunch of "fixes" for performance issues and changed a bunch of settings (both in-game and in the user.cfg file) that did nothing for me. I have a 7950x3D and just updated the PC Gaming Wiki article with two solutions that fixed it for me that I found on the forums here:

Both the "High Performance" Windows power plan and the Process Lasso one (which I'm using since I already use the paid version) completely fixed the issue.

Help i experiencing invincible hand bug, iam now cant be killed excepet for the fall damage. Restart the game wont work also load another checkpoint isnt work either.

Hello, I have a big problem when playing on the Caspian map, the second task is to save a woman from bandits, I go through the tunnel very quietly and as soon as I get out of the tunnel, it crashes and I have to turn it off by logging out of the computer, I go back a few minutes and the same thing happens. When I make a new save and play all that time from the beginning, it crashes at the same place. I've already tried game integrity on steam, reinstalling the game and even reinstalling steam. Please help.

Is there a way to change the scale of effects like the blood and binoculars?

I bought this game and installed the PC Enhanced version specifically because it had an FOV slider cooked in - but the game apparently ONLY boots if you have an RTX card.

Please let me know if anyone has a solution or finds a line that tweaks the size of those effects!

The night vision goggles are gone in The Taiga, also the "Dress to Impress" trophy doesn't update.
