解説
You ever wanted to challenge yourself with a run where every item you take is only one kind of item (such as Soy Milk)?

Do you love (/s) bringing up the debug menu a lot?

Do you find yourself in an eternal state of tedium where challenges like this are your only source of joy in life?

Well, this mod is (or at least might be) the mod for you!

"How does this work, random Steam user," you say?

There's currently two ways:

PLAYING FROM THE CUSTOM CHALLENGE LIST:

In the main.lua file for this mod (which should be in the mod's folder), you'll find a nifty little block of code like this one near the top:

item = Isaac.GetItemIdByName("Incubus")
character = Isaac.GetPlayerTypeByName("Lilith") (The character variable only works if challenge is picked from custom challenge list)

Just change the values in these quotes to whatever item you want to only ever appear, and whatever character you want to play as. The Readme can also help guide you along.

PLAYING AN OTHERWISE NORMAL RUN:

Thanks to Nato Potato, if you have piber20's Mod Config Menu enabled, you can go right in and set the item from there, and maybe restart the run or game if needed. Easy peasy!

What app do i use to open the LUA file?

the item selector doesn't work properly on repentance, it only lets you select a handful of low itemIDs from repentance.

Also, if doing it by the lua file, the character gets turned into the tainted variant, you start the run twice, giving you 2 pair of key pieces.

I thought you could also start the run and every item is the first one you pick up

Good mod, but for some reason mod config keeps detecting my first chosen item and cant work with any other items right now. For example, i first changed it to mutant spider, and than changed it to magic mushroom, but for some reason it keeps detecting mutant spider instead of magic mushroom. Am i doing anything wrong?

@swuack A couple things come to mind:

Do you have other mods enabled that also support the Mod Config Menu? What I remember running into while debugging this is that if something goes wrong with how the menu is set up for a given mod, it can affect how other supported mods appear in the menu. Try disabling those mods and see if that does anything for you.

Did you disable this mod by accident? If you're subscribed to a lot of mods, I can imagine it being kinda tricky to remember which ones you have enabled.

If you're still stuck, be sure to bring this up the Bugs and Mod Conflicts thread so it's easier to refer back to. I wonder if anyone else has this problem...

tried the Mod Config Menu. Your mod hasn't appeared anywhere in the menu, and trying to work the mod your way hasn't works either. Yikes.:steamsalty:
