ABOUT
This is a part of the Better Ships mod collection.
Makes several changes to the Arachne ship, complemented by the Better Ships - Arachne Walls mod.

CHANGES
- REMADE COCKPITS: Tweaks the cockpit to better fit the rest of the ship.
- WINDOWS ANYWHERE: Removes the backdrop from the ship, allowing you to see through and create windows anywhere.
- REMOVABLE WALLS: All vertical separating walls are made removable (and with the Walls mod, craftable), so that you can refit the interior of the ship to your liking.
- REMOVABLE OBJECTS: Ship lockers, SAIL consoles, ship consoles, and fuel hatches are all removable (and with the Walls mod, craftable).
- SMOOTHER DOORS: Gives a smoother door and hatch animations (3 intermediate frames, vs. 1).

REQUIRED MODS
Better Ships - Things : Has objects that are used in the mod.
Better Ships - Walls : Prerequisite to Better Ships - Arachne Walls.
Better Ships - Arachne Walls : Has the Arachne hull parts and objects used in this mod.
Arachne : Has... well, the Arachne.

@Total Takeover - Thank you! Unfortunately idk how long it will take before I come back to Starbound, lots of stuff keeping me away from it atm, I'm afraid... but always glad to get updates! ^^ If it does while I'm still unable to do modding, I'll update this mod signaling it's been outdated, at least. Also, thank you for helping JimmyJim!

@JimmyJim - As for the pets, it probably has to do with how the objects changed. I'd have to see how the custom pets mod works, because if it does something to the SAIL (which is the object that spawns the pets in the vanilla game), then that could be the problem. Unfortunately don't know if that will be feasable atm :(

I dont think you will need to worry about code as that is already handled by the base game. I think you only need to worry about functionality, making sure things dont overlap when the ship upgrades, etc.

Alright ! Thank you for the clarafication it's a lot clearer now, I'll take a look at their discord indeed. I do have some notions of code but never worked on any mods, it may be the beggining of a new adventure !

The point of these mods is to improve the ships included in the base game as well as various race mods, not remake them. Only improve them. You are probably asking the wrong person in this case.

HOWEVER, it would be an fantastic idea to ask the dev of the Arachne mod themselves if you want to make your own ship design. Fun fact, the ship the Arachne mod currently features (and this mod improves on) is not the final design. If anything its a placeholder until they come up with a real design. If you wanna help, seriously, ask; They will provide the resources you need to create your own design.

As for the issue with pets: never had that issue, could be a conflict with another mod.

First of all I want to thank you for your work on all these amazing mods !
But I wish the arachne ship was more.. arachne, as much for walls as for SAIL who doesn't have any specific design.
I recently created a server for friends and finally add a bunch of races with their own better ships mods and realised that my fav race was a bit left out compared to all the other races..

Do you plan to make an update soon or could you share the tools needed to eventually create my own ? Thank you in advance ♥

Oh and also, I realised when I had to reset all my mods that the better ships mods seem to remove custom races pets, is there a reason about it ? I wish I had my arachne pet back but if I have to choose between your mods and my pet, I'll choose your mods ;)

In the "REQUIRED MODS" section of the mod description, you include :
"Better Ships - Things"
But it is not listed in the "REQUIRED ITEMS" on the right >->

Also, I do not have SAIL with extra eyes like the thumbnail... :steamsad:
