By JJblackNight
For the casual player who wants to get all of the achievements in The Stanley Parable.
This is just for the achievements and should NOT be used as a walkthrough for the endings.

Beat the Game
Follow the instructions given by the narrator to the letter.

Done correctly, Stanley will be allowed to leave the facility in what will be referred to as the “Freedom Ending”.
Welcome Back!
Open the game twice.
You Can't Jump
Try to jump with the space bar (or the equivalent button that jump is binded to) several times just to see if the achievement is lying.
Achievement
This achievement is hidden in the options menu. Go into the Extras tab and enable the achievement.
Click on Door 430 Five Times
This is the first prompt in a serious of prompts. Clicking on door 430 five times will prompt a response from the narrator, giving you a serious of unrelated tasks for you to earn that achievement.
8888888888888888
Follow the narrator and act as though you are getting the “Freedom Ending” and stop when you get to your boss’s office.

When prompted to interact with the keypad behind your boss's desk, continuously press 8 on it until you hear a voice which will say "eight".
Go Outside
You have two options for completing this achievement.

  • Legitimately not play the game for five years.
  • Go into your computer settings and set your computer’s clock five years into the future before running the game again.

Either way, the achievement should pop up the next time you start a new run.
Speed Run
Same way with the “Beat The Game” achievement, but you must reach the “Freedom Ending” in less than 4 minutes.

To be able to do this, you first need to get to the final catwalk right before the final “Yes” / “No” button push.

Make sure that you have the option to save the game enabled in the options menu, then proceed to save – without having pressed a button. Proceed to finish the game and get booted to the main menu screen.

Load the save that you just created and complete the game with the Freedom Ending. The game will count the loaded save as a brand new attempt.
Unachievable
Make sure the game is closed. Here is the address to the config file that will need to be modified:

D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Stanley Parable\thestanleyparable\cfg\config.cfg

Change the extension to a .txt extension and open it in Notepad. Add this line of code to the file:

bind “x” “~;_u”

If unfamiliar with code, create a new line at the end of the existing code and add the new code there. Save the file and correct the file extension, right-click and choose properties.

Check the attribute “Read-only” and save this change. All changes get reverted when the game can correct files upon starting the game, setting the file to “Read-only” forces the game to not correct the file.

Open the game and hit the “x” key. Wait a several seconds for the achievement to pop up.
Commitment
This is the most time-consuming achievement (unless you are legitimately going for the “Go Outside” achievement).

The only way to get this achievement is to let the game run for the full 24 hours of a given Tuesday due to time being counted by the game and not the computer.

Turn the game on between 11pm and midnight on Monday going into Tuesday. As long as you don’t exit the game and don’t run other games connected to your Steam account, the achievement will be unlocked at midnight on Wednesday.

Speed run works.
Save right before you click the off button. Complete the game, once the game restarts the timer is running.
Exit to main menu, load the save, hit the button and walk out.

Nah, the speed run didn't work for me either. With several attempts using this method.
