In the lore, the destruction of Cadia caused something like tens of thousands of worlds (presumably descended from Cadian colonists) to switch over completely to the Cadian culture. That is to say, Abaddon's victory created thousands of new Cadias and massively increased the size and competency of the Imperial Guard as a result.
