ATTENTION

This is my first (published) attempt at using the map editor. If you have any bugs or complaints, be nice about them when you put them in the comments. Also, replays do not work with this map (for whatever reason), but being in observer mode should still work. If you have a way to fix this, feel free to comment it below. To avoid complications, please remember to put the 3 allied factions under team 1. Also, special thanks to EELuminatus on the official Pocketwatch Games Discord for helping me with coding errors and slight balancing.

DESCRIPTION

Deep within the Howling Vell rests Fort Vellham, a gigantic fort that towers over the little village of Vrishenburg. It is equipped with heavy defenses, watchtowers, and a large Artillery Array, equipped with light anti-air defenses, that has been giving fire support in the fort's surrounding regions. That, paired with its railway connection to a host of outside markets, has designated the fort as an important asset in the civil war.

3 factions have entered a pact and occupied Vrishenburg, setting up defenses of their own, preparing a siege of the fort. To ensure victory, the 3 must storm the fort and capture the War Room, a compact area around the 1's starting gristmill, but they will have to fight through swathes of bullet hives, barbed wire, snipers, dreadedly brutal artillery, and whatever nightmarishly large army the 1 will erect.

Large and open courtyards beckon for large scale offenses and game-changing plays, all of which and more can be found in the Siege of Fort Vellham!

LAYOUT

Each Gristmill/Campfire represents Strategic Points ripe for capture.

The 1 starts with an extra farm and their starting mill lasts twice as long. The Campfire at the depot lasts 3 times as long. Each of the Watchtowers hold campfires when destroyed (but the 1 doesn't get any bonuses from the campfires while the cabins are still on top), making them a constant strategic point. An Artillery Array covers the center of the map, meant to discorage the capture of the middle courtyard gristmill (and sometimes the 2 upper gristmills that lead to the War Room). The array comes with a few bullet hives to prevent small air skirmishes.

The 3 each start with the usual farm setup, but with a small brigade of 4 squirrels and a ferret meant to make an opening in the first line of defense without wasting food. The 3's starting position is surrounded by 18 allied bullet hives, 6 belonging to each facton. There are 2 flanks on each end of the map that allow the 3 to infiltrate the fort and easily capture the northern and southern courtyard gristmills.

Each faction has a deck size of 10.

Thanks, Best. I noticed there weren't many 3v1s and "build up" type maps on the workshop when I was looking for ideas. I also love these types of maps in general in RTS games :)

VERY cool. I like this a lot. 3v1s and maps that can last for a long time and/or allow to sort've 'build up' are my favourite kinds.
