Better FP Guns, Ironsights + Attachments (MOD)
By Peppr
Changes first person viewmodels, sprint animations and ironsights to look straighter and lowered. More similiar to how it would look in real life. Added attachments for guns such as Reflex, ACOG & Laser for snipers. Recoil Stock for certain SMGs, High Capacity Mags for LMGs and more. Step by step installation and screenshots included.

How to install
Go to your Steam Library. Right-click Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and select Properties.
Go to the Local Files tab and click Browse Local Files.

This will open a window in File Explorer.

Open the KellerGame folder and then Config. This is where you drag and drop the downloaded files once you've unzipped them.

If it asks you to replace files, that means you've done it correctly. Make sure you confirm.
Download link
I've copied the link to a pastebin so steam can't block it. If this link goes down, contact me and I'll put it back up again.

I highly recommended to use this mod with Highflex's amazing fov camera mod. I use the lowest option to avoid clipping arms. Link to his guide with mod download here; https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1423146825

My mod is a HEAVILY modified verson of ParsleyPlant and AZLAKAL's "The Complete Overhaul" mod posted on Nexus Mods. Link here; https://www.nexusmods.com/rainbowsixvegas2/mods/9?tab=files

Basically I reverted everything back to vanilla except the viewmodels. Very tedious since every weapon had modified damage, accuracy, mag size, etc. I also re-added attachments that the mod authors removed for some reason, while also adding in additional ones.
Thanks for reading!
This probably won't get you in trouble, but for your own safety I would advise you to stay out of Punkbuster enabled servers when using this or any other sort of mod. Good news is I've only seen about 1 of them in the past 4 months. If in doubt just turn off Punkbuster in your game options :)

If you like this mod, share it with your friends that still play this game. If there are any issues with it please let me know and I'll do my best to fix them. Feel free to ask questions below and I'll answer them when I'm available. Peace! :)

I'm having no luck finding it. Nothing containing the "axis" line.

uhhh, this was a long time ago. I believe it was the axis lines near the bottom of each weapon entry. couldn't say for sure.

What lines did you edit to adjust the weapon positioning? I've been looking but can't pin them down.

yeah sorry. i made this mod like 2 years ago and don't play this game anymore. but you're free to do whatever you want with it.

ok thanks, il do some experimenting on it.
Peppr  [author] 20 Mar, 2021 @ 8:17pm
you're free to try. the whole thing is just a text document with values for each weapon, range, attachments, viewmodels, etc. copy over what you want from default.

is there any way to change the config files in the mediafire download to ONLY give the attachments? i kinda like the default viewmodels so i wanted to use the attachments on other guns

Wow, I really didn't expect you to get back within the next few days, let alone half an hour!
Thanks, much appreciated!

in the download file each weapon has a big block of text. near the bottom there's a section for attachments, you just edit the numbers to change what is available for each weapon.

the mod is already made for vanilla in mind, only changes are viewmodels and a few extra attachments for guns that didn't have many.
