How to Mine Manually, Auto Mine and Find Crystals
In this video i show you how to mine with your own ship yourself, how to manually order your ships to do mining for you, how to create an auto miner and how to find and collect crystals with some crystal hunting. I hope this helps anyone who struggles with this feature in the game. :)

But if you find the right crystal you can still get like a few hundred thousand in just a few minutes

Note that the new 4.0 patch makes crystal mining VASTLY less useful, especially for starting players. You're better off skipping crystals entirely, as Egosoft nerfed crystals into total irrelevance.

@Colandy - Yes, it's BY FAR the best way to make money and reputation passively early in the game. Just look for stations like silicon refineries and set your miner to mine silicon in those sectors. You think for it because the AI can't.

Auto Miner - K, So I don't get the Add Wares or Number of Gates, I can add a single Ware and a single Sector, but if that sector doesn't have a station that buys the resource, he just sits there Calculating and looking for somewhere to Sell, any reasons for this?

@Outsidethief - This didn't work in the 1.30 version of the game that i used for this guide. Also, that was impressively clear, thank you :)

Hello, regarding the mining turrets, they automatically attack asteroids as they get close enough to hit them. You have to go to the top of the screen and activate them to attack asteroids. Click the shield symbol (defend by default) below each turret and look for a broken rock symbol. They take a few seconds to activate but will light up as they shoot. Hope this is clear enough to understand.
