Hey, my updated version runs well but the cab needs lots of work and the main electronics package on the flip side of the rear cab wall needs to be replaced...

I was going through my collection of locos and this was the brokenest. I had been tinkering with the plumbing previously but I had not overhauled the rear truck assembly because there was no clearance with the rear prime mover. I had to raise that up by one block to give myself the room I needed for the trux. I am operating the thing in twin diesel electric mode, so I have two idependent systems running in pure desel electric mode. The thing goes 200 mph but sucks the thimble dry in about 15 minutes flat. =\ If I'm going to go renegade and re-post this thing I'll have to add a tender coupling on the rear connector and completely re-build the electronics and controls...

while i agree with the fuel, it runs fine for me and leaves the yard no problem

This is going to be a tough loco to save. Yeah, it's got the look and feel down pretty well and the cabin feels pretty good too but the bottom line is that it won't roll out of the rail yard due to how the trucks are attached and barely has a thimble to hold its fuel. There are two ways to go with this train that I'd call valid, either go for a light weight setup with 3 trucks, one medium traction motor, one large diesel and two medium generators. The other choice is keep 4 trucks, go with 2 medium motors,, two diesels, and one large generator. Which the frame doesn't have quite enough space for. The underlying issue is that I'd need to fit an articulated subframe for the front and rear bogeys so that it can turn with the track right. I do this with my own large hardware, The Starlight Princess is one example, the DX 441 is a different approach. Then comes the question of how much this design really deserves. =\
