Recently, a new video game set in the pacific theatre of World War II, named "Rising Storm" (developer/publisher, Tripwire Interactive), was released. I thought it really captured that same sort of atmosphere which was shown in HBO's TV miniseries "The Pacific" very well. The game itself is extremely fun, go and get it the game on Steam and get the blu-ray DVD of The Pacific. Now. You won't regret it.

I decided, one day, to play the game's main menu music (composed by Chris Rickwood, his website linked below) over Steve Fuller's introduction animatic for The Pacific. To my amazement, it fit almost perfectly, being almost (in my opinion) better than the original's music (no offence to Hans Zimmer, I love his work and the other song was good too).

I decided to edit the intro, along with a few new scenes (from Steve Fuller's original version, also linked below) to fit the length of the song (since the song was longer than the original intro). This resulted in an extended version, what you see now.
