all this addon does is replace the vtf for the default muzzle flash in game. It has nothing to do with scripts. there are rare cases where some addons just dont apply the vtf unless you directly apply it to your game. i would try to have someone else download your addons and see if that is the problem

its either your addons applying their own texture for the muzzle flash or a simple graphics option.
