描述
This mod is no longer supported due to various reasons. It will not recieve any updates.
As of 2021.01.17, this mod still works in the game. If it breaks in future versions of the game - it won't be fixed.

This mod adds new shield blocks to the game
These shields can all be retracted if needed, and can soak up a lot of incoming damage. Currently they don't use too much power, however, that may change.

Stats:

RETRACTABLE ARMOR PLATES
1x1x1 Size:
Block variants: 90 degree, 45 degree
Integrity: 7.83k - this defines how much health a block has
Damage Multiplier: 0.5 - this will decrease all damage from weapons by 50% for this block (technically, it increases integrity by 50%)
Mass: 1.78t

2x2x1 Size:
Block variants: 90 degree, 22.5 degree
Integrity: 13.92k
Damage Multiplier: 0.5
Mass: 3.17t

RETRACTABLE SHIELD BLOCKS
1x1x1 Size:
Block variants: 90 degree, 45 degree
Integrity: 22.93k - this defines how much health a block has
Damage Multiplier: 0.2 - this will decrease all damage from weapons by 80% for this block (technically, it increases integrity by 80%)
Mass: 9.22t

2x2x1 Size:
Block variants: 90 degree, 22.5 degree
Integrity: 40.86k
Damage Multiplier: 0.2
Mass: 16.37t

EXTENDABLE SHIELD BLOCKS
6x1x1 Size:
Integrity: 60.5k - this defines how much health a block has
Damage Multiplier: 0.25 - this will decrease all damage from weapons by 75% for this block (technically, it increases integrity by 75%)
Mass: 25.25t

every time i use mods in my SE runs i will always include this such an underrated and valued mod imo

I love this mod and have been looking for something like it for a long time, but I also hate it because while it adds the stuff I wanted, the 45 and 22.5 degree blocks don't line up with their armor plate companions, I don't mind that it's not air tight but I would like to see these plates flatten out with the regular armor, but otherwise a great mod

Just wondering, why are the shield components so expensive? I mean, literally requires platinum and uranium... iron, nickel, cobalt, even gold I could get (depending on the electornics), but it seems needlessly expensive compared to their function. Maybe that's just me?

Would also love to see a small block version if possible please? Great for protecting cameras and weapons. Also a half height '1/2 x 3 x 3' small grid 'tank hatch' would be really cool! ;)
